Overall: I did well until all the checks were dropped, then I just focused on the few people who were actually listening instead of paying their bill. One day I’ll be funny enough were nobody bothers to look at their checks until I’m off the stage.

Second show of the night, I Mced this show.

0m30s I’ve written this before, but I keep forgetting not to open a set with the ex girlfriend on the street joke.

1m30s Too much material and not enough crowd work at this point of the set

2m10s My energy needs to be higher

3m15s I love how the crowd usually laughs at this observation

4m18s Always fun when the crowd answers a question that’s meant to be rhetorical

4m38s Change the vocal tonality to be more accidental on “I don’t mean to give the game away”

5m26s And it’s a bad set when all three punch lines at the end don’t get any laughs.

Overall: I didn’t do a good job as MC. I should’ve done more crowd work and too many of my jokes didn’t hit.

Back at Broadway Comedy Club

1m27s I convinced the group up front to come to the show and they asked that I make fun of them during my set, meth dealer was the best I could come up with

3m13s I’ve since learned not to go with all 3 lines about the homeless girlfriend unless the audience laughs at the second one, or else they start to dislike you

Overall: This was a really good although short set. The jdate joke could’ve hit better, and I shouldn’t have done all three lines of the ex girlfriend on the street.

This is a show at a bar, there were four people watching the show not counting comics.

1m18s Forgot to do “if you do that” before “then you got huge tubes.” And yes, I know this is redundant, but this is what happens when I look at twenty videos in a day after I haven’t had a chance to watch any in a month.

Overall: It was good to get a longer set, and I may have found a new punch line that I should try out.

Overall: It’s tough to MC for a crowd of four, especially when one of the four wants to heckle the whole time. I think I did a good job not being phased by it though and I learned that I should go with a different opener in this situation.
