0m11s The host hadn’t been on stage for a month and didn’t do a single joke the whole time, and I was the first comic up after him 

2m04s A lot of my mini punch lines are missing

Overall: Quiet response from the crowd, I could’ve been a little higher energy. I also may have wanted to do some extra crowd work since I saw the host didn’t get too many laughs from his crowd work / jokes

This is a 1am prom show the same night as the previous two shows. I got on stage around 2:30 in the morning. There was a crowd of about fifty people and I actually had adrenaline pumping for the first time in a long time

Overall: I did pretty well and I would’ve killed it if I didn’t do the wrong joke to close it. I wish I had a large crowd every night to test out my material, as you can be more confident something works or doesn’t work when you have fifty people around

Overall: I try to believe that the crowd doesn’t make a difference and that if you’re funny, you can win over any crowd. However, this is the same night as the previous set, with around the same number of people, and I did the same jokes that I did in the previous show but the response was much better. It’s also interesting that I hosted in this set and was up in the middle of the show during the last set. I guess this means I’m at the level of stand up where I can only get a good response from certain crowds and not others

This is back in NYC, an 8:30 show on a Friday night. I wound up doing 3 sets tonight. This first one had about ten audience members.

1m45s The background noise you hear is the sound whenever the door opens as there’s a bar area right outside the comedy room 

3m22s The old “my jokes aren’t working, let’s comment on the crowd” routine

5m01s I missed the shotglass and the snuggle head bits on purpose because I got the light and had to cut time

5m22s Surprisingly good laugh on the callback considering the set didn’t go hot

Overall: I don’t think I did anything significantly different in my delivery but the big laughs just weren’t there. I guess I could’ve been more conversational since it was a smaller crowd. The bright spot is that my callback worked, so at least I ended strong.

1m58s Everytime I remember to do the “you turned to each other and said ‘your tubes are kinda large’” it gets a good laugh, but I tend to forget to do this line

8m15s I think my drinking water on stage makes the set more low key and conversational

9m04s This is the first time ever that “it’s all downhill after the stand up” got a laugh… of course, this is the first time that “jumping into an orgy” didn’t get a laugh

1m07s I need to incorporate “if you’re over forty, think of your yearbook photo” into this joke

2m58s Great comeback from the audience member “how did your pole feel about that” 

3m50s I need a better punch line that gets the same point across

5m25s I love being propositioned on stage 

5m35s And misinterpreting it on purpose 

6m08s The callback takes 1.5 seconds to get a laugh, I need to be patient and confident when delivering it 

Overall: Considering it was just 5 audience members, I did really well. I managed to keep a chatty crowd under control, and got some really big laughs. This was also a fifteen plus minute set, which I don’t’ always get a chance to do. And I like drinking water on stage to slow down my delivery and be more conversational.
