Overall: I had a lot of fun doing this mic cause of the hosts complaint about everyone doing dark stuff before I got on stage, and then I started doing dark stuff. The Yale joke is working well, the tubes joke needs to be delivered slower, and the millionaire joke has potential but needs some fixing…

Friday night show

Overall: This felt like a midnight show at 8pm. I had them with the facebook joke, then the j-date joke got screwed up, the russian family stuff missed and then it turned into audience disruption central. I was able to handle it pretty well (although a little slow on my comebacks), didn’t force my way back into the same joke after a disruption, and eventually managed to get through a whole joke and end on a laugh. It could’ve gone much worse.

Overall: Some bits hit better than others, and most need rewriting or other adjustments

Overall: It took a couple of minutes to get people to fully listen, but then the set went fairly well. I managed to do a fifteen minute set without busting out any “Russian mom” material, which I wanted to do just to know I can do that.

Thursday night show about 25 people

1m30s No reason to acknowledge the “damn” as it ruined the flow, but if I’m gonna acknowledge it, I need to say three funny things about it

3m08s The line “hire a hit man” hasn’t been hitting, try to reword it

6m36s They don’t seem comfortable with the sexual nature of the YELP joke

7m20s When an audience is uncomfortable with YELP, talk about morning after pills, good idea!

7m55s Whoops, why’d I say “babies are dangerous” twice, I didn’t even realize it or I would’ve acknowledged it

Overall: The first six minutes were strong than I lost the audience a bit at the Yelp joke, and then I almost had them back on board during the Plan B material, but I flubbed a punch line.
