MCing the 8pm show for 11 people

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=33Ha81KlbSM

1m42s Find out more about why he has all that equipment

2m22s Cut the “man, woman, human” line

2m48s Ask them what they’re studying

3m05s Say “white collar” right away instead of explaining it first

3m27s Ask more about “TV” stuff

7m48s Decent justification

11m05s Doing time between comics

12m03s Add “hope you got a prenup”

12m38s Say “don’t remember” instead of “not familiar”

Overall: It was a tiny crowd and didn’t get many laughs but I kept the energy positive. I also need to dig deeper into the crowd work and get a second and third back and forth instead of just learning surface information.

Going up 2 hours into a show

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FeSwM9dacYw

1m46s Weird applause point

1m49s Weirder that this didn’t get a big laugh after the applause point

5m22s Say the premise smoother

5m31s Nice to end on a good laugh from a new joke

Overall: Okay  to mediocre set, nothing special. The call backs at the end didn’t hit as hard as I’d like and a bunch of the mom lines didn’t get laughs where they usually do.

A music and comedy mic

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wnPhx4Z4sAA

1m03s I could comment on the “yeah” like “he’s heard that a lot”

1m53s Always nice when a week old joke hits hard

5m31s Make more of a circular motion

6m40s Nice improvised tag, make it a keeper

8m44s New line, and a keeper

6m48s I can point “you guys are laughing a little too hard at that”

9m17s Say “the same cell phone”

10m29s This ending needs to be stronger

Overall: Good for a mic, and the cell phone marriage joke went over pretty well for it being so new

The 9:30 Show

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SJs8YX3ddH8

0m40s Decent improvised line, might be time to bring this joke back for another try

2m34s Figure out an act out for it

6m51s It should be “anti pretending you can predict how you’ll feel twenty years from now”

7m20s I can add “that’s the misogynistic part”

Overall for part 1: Decent set. The anti marriage material still needs work.

Going up a second time because the show ran out of comics

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p_EtWDmuO0o

0m48s The better joke is “hundreds, of seconds, of material”

4m39s Might be worth adding this as part of the standard joke

6m00s The “oh they do” helps the joke

6m56s Add a “I guess” before “somebody went to”

8m26s The end of that joke finally worked decently

9m51s Great delivery on “at least someone cares”

10m56s Change “get” to “got”

11m28s Setting up someone as the only fan may help the joke too

11m48s These two lines really help the joke

12m27s The only fan callback makes that stronger

Overall for part 2: Great set. The kazaam/alimony joke went really well.

Hosting an open mic (with a broken mic)

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=swG1ilj47Sk

0m12s Say “in America” earlier

0m40s Sound happier and more excited while being this morbid

0m50s Figure out a wood chipper death

1m30s Cut this bit or make it part of something else, it doesn’t have enough legs on its own

1m58s Make the motion more circular

5m36s Don’t step on the laughs

6m08s Reword to “and NEVER being able to use your friend’s phone”

7m25s Say “gray wall matches the gray drapes… on the only window…”

8m09s Weak callback, rewrite

Overall: Average mediocre mic response, tried some new stuff and reworked some less new stuff
