A bar show for 6 people

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b5athAUs1KE

1m17s React more positively to the philosophy major or talk to her about it a little

3m33s I should put more emphasis on “passion” to make them sound worse

5m42s Decent improvised line

Overall: I bombed and didn’t connect with the audience. If someone “wooooos” on a topic, I should talk to them about it a little bit.

A mic in a bar

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F1hiQIrNO20

1m59s Maybe try milking the act out of pulling down a chart and turning on a projector for longer

3m00s Try “unemployment benefits”

4m30s Try adding “and my new best friend”

Overall: Working out newer jokes, they need work

The worst mic in the city

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=niFaeUVxoDs

1m39s Instead of “worth it” say “if it’s for something important”

2m44s Sell the heart attack

2m56s Say the line more confidently

5m08s I usually do this round of “writing jokes” when I’m at home with a microphone

6m25s Doing my closer just proved it was a dead room

Overall: No response (which is usual at this mic) but I found a way to have fun: trying my half written ideas out loud and just hearing it myself

MCing my show for five people

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5NEEQRLju88

1m35s Don’t be quiet for THAT long

2m21s Good improvisation

3m45s Good job not doing a joke for nearly four minutes, I need to get more comfortable with bullshitting and improvising for laughs

5m52s Go back to just “plane”

7m48s Good job going back to crowd work after a few jokes

Part 2

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UPTjjBbYu8A

0m55s True story

3m15s He walked two people (from a seven person show), so I had to talk about it for a bit

6m45s Do more of an act out on the cop line

7m20s Make it seem like a real heart attack, not a caricature

Overall: Good job hosting. The laughs weren’t huge but I kept the crowd engaged. I didn’t do material for the first four minutes and half of my upfront set was crowd work. And I kept it positive.

Two and half hours into the show

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i5qJjl2xy5w

1m05s Strong laugh for this late into a show and with most of the audience gone

3m03s Go into it more, like do an impression of the audience member not laughing or something

4m08s I should’ve capped that off with my “how would you like nine inches”

5m38s We were passing the mic to increase the odds the audience stays

Overall: Really strong set, especially given how long into the show this was
