A lounge show

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5F6sOh2MWmw

0m18s That’s a good improvised opening bit

0m40s It’s loud where the camera is because there’s a bar back there

2m28s After those extra laughs from not me talking, address that “now the audience is heckling each other” or something

3m50s I think it was the same guy who pointed at the other guy before, I could’ve had a nice call back

Overall: Solid. I even got everyone at the bar quiet and paying attention after the first three or four minutes. Again, I left some messing around with the crowd on the table, as there were a few moments I could’ve gotten a couple more laughs by keeping an interaction going.

A clean set for 4 or 5 audience members

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nofFD3jh4GY

0m49s Add in “so” before “I signed up”

4m25s Sell the “ugh mom” better

4m59s Pause after “and” before the “to see my mother cry”

5m50s I should look in one direction for my entire response to the guy

6m55s “BS” isn’t nearly as funny as “bullshit” because the T is a hard consonant, but it was a clean show

Part 2

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jYG0wMjBzBE

0m14s Be overly happy for the whole neglect bit

0m43s Pause for an extra half second before doing the watch check

Overall: Not great but not horrible. I was able to do 12 clean minutes and got some laughs from the tiny audience.

A show in the back of a record store

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CkemXDOKVn8

0m48s Do an online dating joke if I’m going to ask them about that

2m17s Pause another half second before “maybe”

5m26s Deliver the line more surprised instead of angry

6m34s I might want to make that part of the joke

6m48s Work with that comment more. Don’t be afraid to jump out of material to mess around.

7m40s Doing the ruin your credit history line before the “cool nerd” bit doesn’t really make sense

8m22s Pick one person to be republican even if everyone laughs

9m12s Don’t stumble on the punch line

Part 2

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BDFGXpXNmAw

0m07s Instead of “you’re all…” try “you guys are”… it’s less accusatory

0m44s Don’t point at my head for “neuro”

1m25s Throw in the “twenty dollars” callback

2m14s If I do these two jokes back to back, I should say, “the first time I had sex with this office girl, she was like…”

Overall: Solid set and solid laughs throughout but I should’ve played with the crowd more especially because they were giving me some funny nuggets that I really could’ve run with.

The 8pm show, about 15-20 audience members

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GaiFmqVQ8zo

4m05s When the woman says “I don’t think so” I should’ve responded, “Give it two drinks”

6m45s Give a little bit more of a smile during this part

7m21s Good job playing off the crowd

7m41s Great callback, I gotta remember to always use it

Overall: Solid set, especially given the small audience size. The only bit that needs work is the second half of the Netflix joke, and it’s a delivery issue: I need to let the audience know I’m not serious.

A mic with five or six comics

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HuEQOKwYHV0

1m35s Say “twice neglect” happier

2m43s Don’t pause after “bullshit”

3m20s Pause for half a beat after “education” and again after “love”

3m49s Say “glutes” instead of hamstrings

Overall: Working out new jokes and rewrites, there’s potential but they need work
