We are looking for an opener for an act in Austin. We are expecting about 300 people. The headliner is himself known, though not hugely, among an ethnic community. He is charging $2000. Could someone tell me how much are we supposed to pay the opener for a 20 minute gig? Any info and also references for good openers in Austin would be very helpful!

I noticed from your website link that you speak Russian. I’d love to hear how the stand up comedy business works in other countries. I’ve actually watched some Russian sketch comedy, “Nasha Russia” (Our Russia) which I found hysterical (I can speak and understand Russian).
